Guided tour Les Crayères des Montquartiers

> <

Discover the fascinating history of these majestic underground quarries, dug in the 19th century.

These vast caverns in the city of Issyles Moulineaux were first opened as early as 1820 to exploit chalk mines; over the centuries they have housed mushroom growers, beer breweries and wine cellars.

Today, they accommodate the following facilities:

  • Reception halls which can accommodate up to 1,000 people
  • Restaurant with traditional French cuisine served in a baroque-inspired décor.
  • Wine cellars storing more than one million bottles

Our lecturers will recount, in French or in English, the fascinating history of Les Crayères des Montquartiers.

Available as an optional service, we offer a theatrical visit of the quarries exclusively in French, with an actor-guide (for an additional €10/person)
